Jeff Deaver - Host
Jeff, an avid sportsman is the sole founder and host of Blood Bought Outdoors: ministries which the Lord led him to start and has continued to bless. With over 24 years of experience in outdoor ministry, Jeff feels very blessed to be able to use his passion for the outdoors to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In 2006, he surrendered to the call to preach the Gospel and was ordained in 2007. He served as an associate pastor until February 2013 at which time he yielded to God’s call into full-time evangelism. In 2017, Jeff started The Cross NG Church in Blairsville, Georgia, where he is the senior Pastor. In addition, Jeff has been a certified Georgia hunter safety instructor for more than twenty-four years. Jeff currently serves as chaplain for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. He has also been involved in several mission trips, both in and out of the United States.
Jeff and his wife Michelle have been married for 34 years and have two children and five grandchildren.
Jason Phillips - CoHost
Jason has been an avid lover of all outdoor huntsman sports for most of his life. He grew up in Blue Ridge, GA, then later raised by his older sister in Murphy, NC. Hunting and fishing were always a way for Jason to cope with the unstable life he experienced as a child. Jason spent most of his adult life in and out of prisons due to his 13-year addiction to methamphetamines and many other drugs. While in prison for the 3rd time, Jason surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. After leaving prison Jason knew that if he was going to continue to live his life for Jesus, some changes needed to take place. Jason was introduced to a pastor who showed him what a Christian man should be. He showed him the love of Christ when no one else was there. Jason entered a faith-based treatment center in 2014. While in treatment, that same pastor took Jason on a hunting trip where Jason connected with the outdoors in a new way. Jason saw God's creation for the wonderous beauty that it is. Since then, Jason has enjoyed helping others form a love for hunting and fishing while seeing God in all creation.
In 2015, Jason answered his call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Chris and became Youth Pastor, where he remained until 2017. Jason is currently a member of The Cross Worship Center in Blairsville, GA.
Jason and his wife Mandy have been married for 22 years and have 5 children. Jason is living out a lifelong dream made possible through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
